Ann Arbor, Mich. Michigan State will play in-state rival Michigan without defensive back Dillon Tatum, cornerback Chance Rucker and defensive end Avery Dunn, per the Spartans’ weekly availability report. All three players are listed as “out.”

Michigan State listed zero players as “questionable.”

Tatum became injured in the Spartans’ season-opening win over Florida Atlantic. Rucker has been out since the week-two Maryland game. Dunn began the season injured but returned in week four. After listing Dunn as “questionable” last week, Michigan State has officially ruled Dunn out for the season.

The Spartans listed wide receiver Alante Brown as “questionable” last week against Iowa, but the redshirt senior did not play. Brown did not appear on this week’s injury report, so it appears he has a chance to make his first appearance since week one of the season.

Additionally, Michigan State has removed wide receiver Antonio Gates Jr. from the roster. The former four-star recruit appeared in two games this season. He had not appeared in a game since the Spartans’ week-three win over Prairie View A&M.

Spartan tight end Michael Masunas and offensive guards Kristian Phillips and Gavin Broscious remain out for the season.
