East Lansing, Mich. – On Thursday, Michigan State revealed its uniforms ahead of this weekend’s match-up against No. 8 Washington at Spartan Stadium. The Spartans will also celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the program’s 2014 Rose Bowl victory over Stanford, 24-20, during Saturday’s game.

In honor of the event, former Spartan linebacker Kyle Elsworth – who’s game-ending tackle cemented the Spartans’ Rose Bowl victory – modeled the uniforms in the video released on Michigan State football’s social media pages.

Elsworth, a former walk-on who started in the Rose Bowl in place of All-American Max Bullough, leaped over the Michigan State defensive line, stuffing Stanford’s fullback on fourth-and-1 with 1:45 remaining in the game. With the Cardinals out of timeouts, the turnover-on-downs sealed the win, leading to the Spartans first Rose Bowl victory since 1988.

The Spartans 2013 Rose Bowl team was coached by Mark Dantonio, who will return to the sideline Saturday after four years. Dantonio was named associate head coach on Monday following the suspension of Mel Tucker. Secondary coach Harlon Barnett, who was the architect of Michigan State’ No Fly Zone secondary, will take over as acting head coach in the interim.
