Michigan State running back Davion Primm enters transfer portal
Michigan State running back Davion Primm has entered the transfer portal, per On3 national reporter Pete Nakos. Primm, a redshirt junior, has two years of eligibility remaining.
Primm (6-0, 205) spent three seasons at Michigan State. He played in eight games last season, logging 60 appearances on special teams and 15 snaps on offense. Primm carried the ball seven times for 18 yards last season in a limited role.
The Detroit native played in one game in 2022. Primm repped as a defensive back prior to the 2022 season, but switched back to running back shortly before the season opener.
Primm redshirted the 2021 season – his first in East Lansing – and did not appear in a game.
A former three-star recruit out of Oak Park (Mich.) High School, Primm was the No. 985 recruit in the 2021 class. He was also the No. 74 running back and No. 28 player from Michigan. He chose Michigan State over offers from Colorado, Iowa State and Western Michigan, among others.
