Michigan State safety Malik Spencer wants to become a household name

Armed with experience under fire as true freshman, sophomore strong safety Malik Spencer is eager to step into a starting role in 2023. Spencer, who has no shortage of self-confidence, believes that he has the physical tools, the football IQ, and the opportunity at Michigan State to become a household name with his play on the field. “All I’ve got to do is maximize every opportunity that comes in front of me,” said Spencer. “I can’t BS, and I can’t play around. I’ve got to do everything at 100 percent. A year from now, if I do everything I need to do, I’ll be an All-American. I will be a household name.”
