Michigan State signs 2025 three-star Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard CB Aydan West

Michigan State secured the signature of 2025 three-star Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard cornerback Aydan West on Wednesday. He announced his decision to sign with the Spartans during a ceremony at his high school.
West has been committed to the Spartans since June. By securing his signature, Michigan State all but survived a late push from several programs, notably Ohio State. The Buckeyes offered West during his official visit to Columbus on Nov. 24.
West returned to East Lansing for an unofficial game day visit during the weekend of Nov. 29. Despite the Spartans’ loss to Rutgers, the visit helped West and his family reaffirm their commitment to Michigan State.
Virginia Tech, UCLA and Minnesota, among others, also pushed for West late in the process. Spartan head coach Jonathan Smith helped spearhead the charge to keep West in the fold. Michigan State secondary coach Blue Adams and general manager Cole Moore, among others, played a large role after the departure of cornerbacks coach Demetrice Martin on Monday.
West is the No. 867 prospect, No. 84 cornerback and No. 28 player from Maryland in the 2025 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He took official visits to Michigan State, West Virginia and Cincinnati in June.
