Michigan State signs 2025 three-star Long Beach (Calif.) Servite QB Leo Hannan
Michigan State signed 2025 three-star Long Beach (Calif.) Servite quarterback Leo Hannan on Wednesday.
Hannan (6-4, 210) has been committed to the Spartans since April. Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brian Lindgren initially offered Hannan during their time at Oregon State.
Despite their move to East Lansing, Smith and Lindgren kept Hannan at the top of their recruiting board. The Spartans secured his commitment shortly before his second visit to East Lansing in the spring. Hannan was the first player to commit to Michigan State’s 2025 class.
Hannan held additional offers from Arkansas, Washington, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Minnesota, among others. He’s the No. 768 prospect, No. 48 quarterback and No. 63 player from California in the 2025 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings.

Hannan demonstrated plus arm strength and a high football IQ as a junior while facing some of the toughest high school competition in the country. The complex defenses that Hannan faced in high school will help make his transition to college that much easier.
Servite finished 6-5 this fall. Hannan played in five games as a senior, completing 47 of his 73 pass attempts for 460 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Hannan completed 63.8 percent of his passes for 2,429 yards, four touchdowns and nine interceptions as a junior, according to MaxPreps. He rushed for 213 yards and six touchdowns as well.
Hannan also played basketball in high school. He will early-enroll at Michigan State.
