Michigan State signs 2025 three-star Sandusky (Ohio) Perkins WR Braylon Collier
Michigan State signed 2025 three-star Sandusky (Ohio) Perkins wide receiver Braylon Collier on Wednesday.
Collier (6-1, 170) took an official visit to Michigan State on May 31 and committed to the Spartans on June 7. He chose the Spartans over Iowa, Iowa State and several Mid-American Conference schools.
Collier is the No. 940 prospect, No. 152 wide receiver and No. 36 player from Ohio in the 2025 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings.
Collier was the first 2025 wide receiver to commit to Michigan State and position coach Courtney Hawkins. He had scheduled to take official visits to Iowa and Iowa State during the month of June, but canceled those visits following his commitment to the Spartans.
Collier has visited Michigan State several times since his commitment. He visited campus for the program’s annual Spartan Dawg Con event at the end of July and a few home games during the fall.

Scouting summary
At 170 pounds, Collier is on the lighter side, but he has focused on adding weight ahead of his freshman season at Michigan State. He displayed above-average speed when he ran a laser-timed 4.46 40-yard dash this past summer. He also possesses good athleticism and play-making ability. Collier had several acrobatic catches during his senior season at Perkins High School, which showed off his leaping ability and hand-eye coordination. He’s eager to learn from Hawkins, who has had players selected in the NFL Draft the last three years.
Reminds us of…
Collier showed off his athleticism on both the gridiron and the baseball diamond during his time at Perkins. Collier was a standout center fielder for most of his life, but he will forgo his baseball career once he early-enrolls at Michigan State in January. Former Spartan and current Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cody White followed a similar path. White earned All-Conference honors playing center field for his high school baseball team. White and Collier possess some similar athletic traits, too. Both have above-average ball skills, solid speed and a good football IQ . At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, White was a bit bigger than Collier coming out of high school.
White played three seasons at Michigan State (2017-19). He appeared in 35 games and started 26 of them. White finished his career with the seventh-most receptions in Spartan history (143), the 12th-most receiving yards (1,967) and the 16th-most touchdown catches (12). He went undrafted in 2020 but has since played three seasons in the NFL.
Personal life & stats
Collier’s strong senior season could have resulted in him exploring other Power Four opportunities, but he has remained solid in his commitment to Michigan State. Collier has caught 70 passes for 1,176 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. He still has one game left – the Ohio Division IV state championship this Saturday. Perkins High School sits at 14-1 heading into the game, its first state championship appreance since 1999.
