Rehash&Analysis: The good and bad from Michigan State's untidy 16-10 victory over Florida Atlantic
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State survived some late-game offensive failures and tense moments on defense to hold on to an untidy 16-10 victory over Florida Atlantic in the debut of first-year head coach Jonathan Smith, Friday night at Spartan Stadium. Transfer running back Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams rushed for 101 yards on nine carries, including a 63-yard TD which gave Michigan State a 16-0 lead in the second quarter, and seemed to indicate that a relatively easy game was at hand. But the offense stalled in the second half as the Spartans eked out a victory and a 1-0 start to the season. Michigan State plays at Maryland next week. (More).
