Michigan State working to get more consistency in run game ahead of road test at Boston College

Michigan State doesn't have terrible numbers running the football to this point in the season, but the Spartans need to be more consistent with the ground game as they move into the teeth of their schedule. Taking a step forward in the run game this weekend is important if the Spartan are going to take an unbeaten record into Big Ten play. “That run game is crucial, and I think it is crucial in this game,” Michigan State tight ends coach Brian Wozniak said after practice on Tuesday. “Even when you look at BC and their thought process on their offense. Who can get the run game going and who can be effective that way and control the down and distance throughout the game?”
