Michigan State defensive tackle Simeon Barrow Jr. enters transfer portal
Michigan State defensive tackle Simeon Barrow Jr. has entered the transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. A redshirt senior, Barrow marks the biggest loss for the Spartans this spring, as he was set to return as a starter.
This is the fourth time Barrow has entered his name in the transfer portal as a Spartan. Michigan State has reeled him back in each of the last three times, the most recent of which came last October.
The defensive tackle has logged 110 career tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks in 34 career games with the Spartans. He also forced two fumbles during his Michigan State career.
Barrow will be highly sought-after in the transfer portal. It’s likely that he will return closer to home in the SEC. Barrow is a two-time All-Big Ten Honorable Mention selection (2022, 2023). He held offers from Tennessee, Missouri and others out of high school.
