Michigan State’s Elite Eight Run: Tom Izzo, Kevin Willis, and the Spartan brotherhood

ATLANTA - Every run to an Elite Eight has been a little different for Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, with his latest coming with a fine slice of Peach State Spartandom. Former Spartan star Kevin Willis, who played 10 seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and resides in the Atlanta area, was a boisterous guest in the Michigan State locker room after Friday’s victory over Mississippi.  “You know what I enjoyed? I watched Kevin act like a 20-year-old,” Izzo said. “He was picking players up. He was laughing with them. He felt so connected.” (More inside)
