REACTION: Tom Izzo satisfied with adjustments, but bothered by defensive issues

CLEVELAND - For a second straight game in the NCAA Tournament, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo felt his team absorbed a full frontal assault from a league champion opponent, and was staggered back into the ropes. For a second time in three days, Michigan State flurried and eventually gained control due to depth, pace and physical ability. Izzo was pleased with the response, coming out of Sunday’s 71-63 victory over New Mexico in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. But he’s getting a little concerned about these early holes his team continues to dig. “The first half of that game, that was as good of a barrage as we've had hit us,” Izzo said. More inside.
