EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State didn’t get a good game from All-American goalie Trey Augustine, and still destroyed the No. 4-ranked team in the nation, Friday night. That’s how serious this is getting.  The No. 2-ranked Spartans hammered No. 4 Minnesota, 9-3, in a showdown of the top two teams from the nation’s best conference, before 6,555 at Munn Ice Arena. Now if the Spartans can follow up with another victory over the Gophers on Saturday, then Adam Nightingale’s team will become even more of a conversation point in college hockey, and in the Spartan sporting world.
