Michigan State‘s prospect camp invited campers from across the Midwest to East Lansing on Wednesday. Over 200 high schoolers showed up to perform in front of multiple college coaches.

A deep crop of offensive line prospects worked out with Michigan State offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic during the camp. Kapilovic has been an active recruiter in his time on head coach Mel Tucker’s staff. He is looking to build off a 2023 class that included four-star tackle Stanton Ramil and top JUCO o-lineman Keyshawn Blackstock.

Recruiting young offensive line prospects is an important, but difficult, job for a college football staff, but Kapilovic was able to get a good look at some of the Midwest’s most promising o-line prospects on Wednesday.

Here’s a few offensive line prospects from Wednesday’s camp who could be on Michigan State’s radar in the years to come:

2026 Khalief Canty, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech High School

Canty was one of two prospects at the camp who already has a Michigan State offer. The soon-to-be Cass Tech sophomore also has offers from Auburn, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee and others. Canty could end up being a Top-100 rated prospect in the 2026 class, and Michigan State has a foot in the door early in his recruitment.

2025 Jake Cook, Westerville (Ohio) North High School

Cook’s recruitment could blow up this summer as he heads into his junior season. He doesn’t hold any Power Five offers yet, but he is hearing from the likes of Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State. Cook has offers from Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Toledo, Miami (OH) and others.

2025 Parker Harden, Pickerington (Ohio) Central High School

Harden is a raw prospect who is just starting to come into his own and improve his craft. Kapilovic told Harden at Wednesday’s camp that he’s improved since he had last seen him. Harden holds offers from Cincinnati, West Virginia, Florida Atlantic and Miami (OH). If Harden can compile a few solid performances for Pickerington Central this season, more offers could come in fast.

2025 Darrin Strey, Paw Paw (Mich.) High School

Strey might have been the most polished offensive lineman at the camp, in my opinion. He was very smooth and agile for his age and looked like he could already be receiving college-level training. Strey holds offers from Cincinnati, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and others. He has also heard from Penn State, Purdue, Illinois and Wisconsin.

2026 Ben Nichols, Davison (Mich.) High School

At 6-foot-5, 320 pounds, Nichols looked lean for his size at Wednesday’s camp. He is also young, especially for an offensive lineman. But with some solid game tape this fall, he could be an early priority offer for Kapilovic and Michigan State, as well as other schools in the Big Ten.
