EAST LANSING, Mich. - Score one for Michigan State in the basketball transfer portal - and just in time to lift some spirits. Kaleb Glenn, the newest pledge to Tom Izzo, brings offensive versatilty, toughness and spring on the glass, and defensive length on the perimeter. The Spartans received a commitment from Glenn, formerly of Florida Atlantic, on Tuesday, according to multiple sources familiar with the recruitment. He commitment went public on Wednesday. Glenn, 6-7, 220, averaged 12.6 points and 4.8 rebounds for the Owls this past season while shooting 41.7 percent from 3-point range and 53.2 percent from the floor. He shot 62 percent from the foul line. He has two years of eligibility remaining. Glenn is a power wing with good size. He will provide Michigan State with much-needed 3-point shooting accuracy and explosiveness around the rim. He is a good rebounder who has had some big games on the offensive glass in his career, something that will be useful in Tom Izzo’s system. (MORE INSIDE)
