Michigan is hosting three transfer portal players this weekend as it looks to add to its No. 3 ranked class nationally. Here is a closer look at all of them.

WR David Pantelis, Yale

Michigan is looking to bolster its wide receiver room through the portal and is making Pantelis a priority. Pantelis was ultra-productive at Yale this past season as he finished with finished with 69 receptions for 1,018 yards and 11 touchdowns in 11 games en route to being named first-team All Ivy League. He projects best as a slot receiver at 5-foot-11, 200 pounds but can also line up out wide if needed. Pantelis has experience returning kicks and punts as well. Purdue, West Virginia and Stanford are other schools in the mix for Pantelis, who has one year of eligibility remaining. He is currently ranked as the No. 81 wide receiver and No. 405 overall player in the transfer portal, per On3.

DL Tre Williams, Clemson

Michigan has emerged as the frontrunner for Williams going into the weekend. The former Clemson defensive lineman is from the same training program that produced Michigan EDGE Kechaun Bennett. He is also a childhood friend of former Michigan defensive back Quinten Johnson. Those ties should help the Wolverines in this portal recruitment. Williams, who has one year of eligibility remaining, notched 42 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four sacks, two pass breakups and three fumble recoveries in his career. Unfortunately, the former Top 100 recruit was plagued by injuries during his time with the Tigers. At 6-foot-2, 310 pounds, Williams is ranked as the No. 35 defensive lineman and No. 514 overall player in the transfer portal, per On3.

CB Ryland Gandy, Pitt

Michigan missed out on top cornerback target Emmanuel Karnley last month and is now turning its attention to Gandy. A former three-star recruit, Gandy is from the same high school, Buford (Ga.) High, that produced Michigan transfer running back Justice Haynes. Gandy played in a reserve role early in his career before becoming a starter this season and emerging as Pitt’s top corner this season. He finished the year with 40 tackles and two pass breakups. Gandy, who has two years of eligibility remaining, has also visited in Indiana and is looking to make a trip to Ole Miss early next week. At 6-foot, 172 pounds, Gandy is ranked as the No. 58 cornerback and No. 509 overall player in the transfer portal, per On3.
