Shea, one of the Wolverines’ offensive weapons on the outstanding teams from 1996-99, played several years in the NFL, drafted by the Cleveland Browns. He was a sure handed receiver who also became an outstanding blocker. Though injuries shortened the fourth-round pick’s career, he caught 97 passes for almost 900 yards with seven touchdowns in his career.

Shea was one of head coach Lloyd Carr’s favorite players, and the two continue to stay in touch. He and Brady, too, remain tight. Brady is godfather to his son, and the former teammates maintain a solid bond going back to their Michigan days.

Shea shares his Michigan stories, thoughts on Brady’s retirement and much more in today’s podcast.
