Andrew Babalola

Five-star Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest offensive lineman Andrew Babalola officially signed with Michigan on Wednesday.

Here is everything you need to know about the talented tackle.

The Skinny

Height: 6-5.5
Weight: 295
Senior Stats: Helped lead Blue Valley Northwest to a 7-4 record and an appearance in the Kansas high school state playoffs.
Industry Ranking: No. 3 offensive tackle, No. 15 overall
Interesting Facts: Spent part of his childhood in metro Detroit. Grew up playing AAU basketball. Was not a full-time varsity football starter until his junior season.

Recruitment

Michigan offered Babalola in the spring and quickly became a strong contender in his recruitment. However, Stanford seemed to gained the most buzz and positioned itself as the team to beat. Michigan impressed Babalola on his summer official visit and kept making a hard push, eventually winning him over after a series of delays. Babalola committed to Michigan in October over Stanford, Missouri, Oklahoma and others.

He Said It

“It was about family atmosphere. It was about having the peace of mind that I was going to a program that’s going to take care of me on and off the field with development and academics. Also, playing on the biggest stage. The relationships I formed with the coaching staff, the fellow recruits and the players made it the right fit in my mind.”

They Said It

“As far as how they won this recruitment, it was an interesting one, obviously. Michigan continued to be the constant in this recruitment, despite a series of delays. Babalola was considered a Stanford lean in the summer, he continued to push things back, Auburn tried to make a late run, Auburn obviously has a ton of NIL to work with, but I think Michigan was just that school that offered the best of both worlds for him” — The Wolverine insider EJ Holland

Scouting Report

“Andrew Babalola has one of the highest upsides among offensive tackles in the 2025 cycle in a year that, for my money, is the deepest along the offensive line in a very long time. Fort starters, he has a great frame. He’s over 6-foot-5. He was around 300 pounds going into his senior year. He has plus length with arms over 34 inches. Big hands. Physically, he’s how you draw them up as a top-flight offensive tackle prospect. He’s new to football. He’s played two years of varsity football. We’ve seen him make some really massive improvements from his first initial varsity game last year to now.” — On3 Rankings Director Charles Power
