Three-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn officially signed with Michigan on Wednesday.

Here is everything you need to know about the talented center.

The Skinny

Height: 6-2.5
Weight: 285
Senior Stats: Helped lead IMG Academy to a 7-2 record this season.
Industry Ranking: No. 46 interior offensive lineman, No. 537 overall
Interesting Facts: Son of former Michigan State player and current analyst Jason Strayhorn. Started at tackle for IMG but projects as a center. Younger brother, Kody, is also a center and holds an offer from Michigan. Cousin of Michigan running back Donovan Edwards.

Recruitment

Strayhorn was considered a Michigan State lean early on in the cycle. However, despite being a legacy, Strayhorn always had strong interest in Michigan. He built up a strong rapport with head coach Sherrone Moore, who served as his primary recruiter when Moore was U-M’s offensive line coach. Moore played a big role in sealing the deal with Strayhorn on his official visit this summer.

He Said It

“It’s like my mom put it. She told Coach (Sherrone) Moore ‘he didn’t just commit to Michigan, he committed to you and Coach (Grant) Newsome.’ Our relationship has been developed for the last three years, so it runs really deep with them. They stayed consistent. Everything that needed to happen for me to come here, which is (Moore) becoming the head coach, did happen. Ever since then, it’s been smooth sailing. I just feel like this is home in my heart. Obviously, I can tell you that it’s because of the history of the offensive line and all that, but the real reason is Coach Moore.”

They Said It

“He’s like a brother to me. We spend a lot of time together on and off the field, so we have a great connection. I’m really excited to play with him again. I think our connection is going to translate right over to Michigan. He’s a workhorse and gets the job done. He’s a leader and takes control of the whole offensive line. I’m excited to be his running back.” — Michigan running back signee Donovan Johnson

Scouting Report

“Strayhorn has a compact build at 6-foot-2, 285 pounds and plays with plenty of physicality in the trenches. He is an absolute bully in the run game and knows how to use his superior strength to his advantage. His experience playing tackle should also allow him to excel in pass protection as an interior offensive lineman at the next level. The son of a former college offensive lineman, Strayhorn is advanced technically and really understands the game.” — Michigan insider EJ Holland
