Recruitment
Michigan offered Sanders during the spring evaluation period when area recruiter JB Brown stopped by his high school. Sanders was a sleeper recruit, but new secondary coach LaMar Morgan made him a top priority and sealed the deal in August. Sanders committed to Michigan over offers from Baylor, Oklahoma State, TCU, Vanderbilt and others. He remained solid throughout the process. Sanders is set to be a regular enrollee at Michigan.
He Said It
“I’ve been watching the corners and talking to all the coaches like Coach (LaMar) Morgan and Coach (Sherrone) Moore. I enjoy my talks with them. That’s the reason I committed there. I love their company. I’m solid because of the coaches and our relationships and the program. I also love the school itself. They have a great business program.”

They Said It
“He means a lot to us. He’s a tremendous young man with very high character. He’s a great leader for our team. He makes a big impact with his character, his work ethic and his leadership. We have pretty high standards in our program. He definitely meets those standards. He pushes everyone around him to meet those standards.” — Kilgore head coach Clint Fuller
Scouting Report
“Jayden is a smooth corner. I think he has good size, good ball skills. He’s a two-way player, productive in coverage. I think the ball skills transfer over really well to corner. You see him make some fantastic catches and interceptions as a junior. He’s younger for the class. I think he’s a guy whose best football is certainly ahead of him. He’s a 6-foot high jumper in track. So, there are a lot of positive indicators about Jayden. He’s one who is just scratching the surface of his potential. “If you’re a starting corner of Michigan, you’re on track to be a draft pick. I think that’s the track (Sanders is) on. I think he certainly has that upside. All of our On300 prospects, those are ones who we peg as guys who we think are projecting as the best odds to be drafted. So, that’s how we are (viewing) him right now.”” — On3 Rankings Director Charles Power
