Elite 2023 QB target Dante Moore recaps Michigan visit

Class of 2023 quarterback recruit Dante Moore is one of Michigan football’s top overall targets in the recruiting cycle. His hotly-contested recruitment will only continue to heat up as the process moves along.

Moore, an On3 Consensus five-star recruit out of Detroit Martin Luther King High School, spoke to TheWolverine.com exclusively on Sunday to recap his recent visits to Michigan and LSU and more.

“I took a visit to watch the [Michigan] basketball game they played against Iowa,” Moore said. “It was great being out there with [2023 wide receiver commit Samaj Morgan]. He and I have been close for a couple of years now. It was fun to get back on campus and talk to all the coaches. I enjoyed my time out there. It’s not a far drive, so I just get out there and enjoy myself.”

Moore’s relationship with Morgan is one that could continue if he decides to pick Michigan. He’s a wideout that he trusts as both a friend and a playmaker.

“I met him through the Sound Mind Sound Body program,” Moore said. “Met him during the 7-on-7’s. I don’t know many guys at the camps, so I pull him aside and tell him to run these routes and he’ll always be open. He’s explosive and a person that has great hands and always makes plays. Him going to Michigan would be a good standout feeling. The fans love it and they’ll be blessed with him.”

Moore also made a weekend visit to LSU, which was something he had prioritized to get to know the new coaching staff. He does not currently have plans set to visit Michigan again during spring football.

“I don’t have any days set with them yet or any more schools,” Moore said. “My main thing was to visit LSU and get down there. I could probably get there any day I wanted to go see them. At this time, I don’t have anything planned yet going up there.”

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Notre Dame, Michigan and Michigan State as the teams to beat for Moore.
