Jeremiah Beasley is ready to make his decision.

The On300 linebacker out of Belleville (Mich.) High will announce his commitment today at 6:00 p.m. ET. His announcement will be streamed live on The Wolverine YouTube channel, which you can subscribe to for FREE by clicking here.

Beasley, who is ranked as the No. 28 linebacker and No. 274 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking, has a final three of Michigan, Michigan State and Missouri.

Here is a closer look at where things stand.

Why It Will Be Michigan

All signs point to Michigan in this recruitment. In fact, Michigan has a 95.8 percent chance of landing Beasley going into his decision, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. I’ve had my prediction in since April and still feel extremely confident in that pick. Beasley made several visits to Michigan this spring — some even went unreported — and also returned for an official visit this month (for Victors Weekend). It appears linebackers coach Chris Partridge, area recruiter Steve Clinkscale, defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and the rest of the staff have done enough to win this recruitment.

Why It Won’t Be Michigan

Beasley was considered a Michigan State lean early on in his recruitment. His half brother, Maliq Carr, currently plays for the Spartans, and Mel Tucker and company are desperate to win a real head-to-head recruiting battle against U-M. Michigan State is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Remember, the Spartans did host Beasley to kick off the month of June, and it’s clear Tucker hasn’t ‘cooled’ on this recruitment. Missouri, while a quiet contender, did receive Beasley’s final official visit. The Tigers are working overtime to win him over.

EJ’s Prediction

Slingshots and family ties won’t be enough to convince Beasley to side with Michigan State. U-M is the superior program both on and off the field, and Beasley knows that. The On300 prospect is a great fit for Jesse Minter’s defensive scheme and will have the opportunity to make an early impact. Beasley, who is also a high academic kid, also values Michigan’s education and its opportunities for life after football. Lastly, Beasley has an extremely strong bond with Clinkscale, who has made him a top priority over the last two years. Michigan just makes the most sense here. Like I previously mentioned, I feel very confident in my On3 prediction going into his announcement.
