Decision Primer: Top Michigan WR target Andrew Marsh ready to make call
Andrew Marsh is ready to make his decision.
The Top 100 wide receiver out of Katy (Texas) Jordan is set to announce his commitment today around 6 p.m. ET.
Marsh, who is ranked as the No. 12 wide receiver and No. 87 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking, has a final five of Colorado, Michigan, Texas, USC and Washington.
Here is a closer look at where things stand.
Why It Will Be Michigan
All signs point to Michigan in this recruitment. In fact, Michigan has a 90.9 percent chance of landing Marsh going into his decision, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. I logged my prediction in favor of Michigan during his official visit for Victors Weekend in June. It was there where the Wolverines really sold Marsh on being a game changer in Michigan’s offense and playing early. Marsh also returned to Ann Arbor late last month for the annual BBQ at The Big House. It appears lead recruiter Ron Bellamy, head coach Sherrone Moore and the rest of the staff have done enough to win this recruitment.
Why It Won’t Be Michigan
Michigan is considered the leader going into the decision, but Washington has been a sneaky contender in this recruitment. Marsh likes the idea of playing out West, and the Huskies showcased a very pass-happy offense last season en route to an appearance in the national title game. USC is another school that offers an opportunity to play out West for a team that slings the ball around at will. Colorado has surprised many in the past and is willing to play NIL. All three schools are worth keeping an eye on.

In His Own Words
“For me, it’s about going somewhere that’s going to push me educationally. I really want to get into real estate, entrepreneurship and business. I want a fair chance to play early. Really, just get developed and get to the league.”
EJ’s Prediction
I feel confident in my prediction for Michigan to land Marsh going into the decision. Yes, the schools out West have been intriguing to Marsh throughout his recruitment. However, he feels at home at Michigan and has a strong relationship with the aforementioned Bellamy. While Michigan is a run-first team, the Wolverines know how to develop, and Bellamy just produced a couple of draft picks, including third rounder Roman Wilson. Marsh has also been to Michigan more than any other school. It would be quite surprising if he spurned the Wolverines.
