Every Michigan Football staff member in 2025: Coaches, operations, recruiting, and more
The Michigan Wolverines football program under Sherrone Moore heads into the winter months with 63 staff members in the building, ranging from assistant coaches, analysts, recruiting and more.
Putting a program together involves much more than hiring assistant coaches and a recruiting department. The head coach is tasked with filling out a strength and conditioning program, a nutritional staff, player development, analysts and grad assistants to support the coaches and more.
Moore’s program had minimal major changes coming off an 8-5 season in 2024 with the biggest coming in a chance at offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. Kirk Campbell was dismissed shortly after the regular season ended and was replaced with former North Carolina OC/QBs guru Chip Lindsey. Defensive coordinator Wink Martindale had some interest during the NFL hiring cycle but appears poised to return for a second season on the job.
Another notable addition recently came with the return of Biff Poggi to the associate head coach role after spending two seasons at Charlotte. He was one of Jim Harbaugh’s key lieutenants and a big part of setting the culture in recent years, and he will now act in that role as one of Moore’s right-hand men.
Here is a rundown of each employee within the Michigan program and their job titles, via the Michigan Athletic Department directory.
