Michigan hosted several top targets in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes over the weekend. Here is a look at five recruits the Wolverines lead for, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

QB Keegan Croucher, Cheshire (Conn.) Academy (2027)

New Michigan offensive coordinator is casting a wide net with 2027 quarterbacks, but it’s clear Croucher is an early priority for the Wolverines. Croucher made his third visit to Michigan over the weekend and now has a 60.3 percent chance of landing him. Croucher also holds offers from Indiana, Michigan State, Ole Miss and others, but Michigan appears to have the inside track for the Top 100 signal-caller. At 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, Croucher is ranked as the No. 8 quarterback and No. 60 overall recruit nationally in 2027.

TE Matt Ludwig, Billings (Mont.) West

Michigan already had the lead for Ludwig going into this visit, and that was only strengthened after another strong trip to Ann Arbor. The Wolverines now have an 89.8 percent chance of landing Ludwig thanks in large part to multiple visits and On3 predictions from myself and national analyst Steve Wiltfong. Ludwig, the No. 5 tight and No. 105 overall recruit nationally, is still considering programs like Georgia, Notre Dame and Texas Tech, but it would be surprising if he ended up elsewhere. Michigan will get him back for an official visit in June.

TE Mason Bonner, Denver (Colo.) Mullings

Ludwig isn’t the only tight end that Michigan has the lead for coming out of a big visit weekend. The Wolverines are also in the pole position for Bonner with a 48.5 percent chance of landing him. Bonner enjoyed a multi-day trip to Ann Arbor and is already set to return for a summer official visit on June 6. The three-star prospect has a Top 5 of Michigan, Miami, Minnesota, Nebraska and Texas Tech. Bonner, the No. 38 tight end and No. 694 overall prospect nationally, is a tall, athletic pass catching tight end.

OL Marky Walbridge, Needham (Mass.) St. Sebastian’s

Michigan leapfrogged Penn State on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine after a multi-day stay in Ann Arbor over the weekend. The Wolverines now have a 36.3 percent chance of landing him, while Penn State has a 27.3 percent chance of landing him. Walbridge is ranked as the No. 12 interior offensive lineman and No. 219 overall prospect nationally. However, the Wolverines are recruiting him as more of a tackle who can swing inside. Walbridge is set to return to Michigan for an official visit in June.

LB Hudson Dunn, Peoria (Ariz.) Liberty

Dunn made his third visit to Michigan over the weekend, and the Wolverines now have a 48.5 percent chance of landing the three-star prospect. While Dunn plays his high school ball in Arizona, he’s originally a Michigan native, growing up in West Bloomfield. He is also a Michigan legacy through his mother, who is an alum. Dunn, the No. 38 linebacker and No. 487 overall prospect nationally, will be back at Michigan for an official visit on June 20. Oregon is another top contender here and will host him for an OV on June 6.
