Michigan has closed with one of its top remaining targets of the cycle.

Four-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng committed to Michigan over Colorado on National Signing Day.

Owusu-Boateng made two visits to Michigan this fall and simply felt like a fit in Ann Arbor.

“It was great being in The Big House again with an electric fanbase,” Owusu-Boateng said. “You could see it. The game hadn’t even started yet, and it was full. When it started, it was filled to the roof. They didn’t come out with the outcome they wanted to come out with, but seeing the grit the defense had was really good.”

Owusu-Boateng is only one of two linebackers in the class and feels like he can make an immediate impact.

“I feel like I could come in here and be a Day 1 starter,” Owusu-Boateng said. “You see what’s missing, and I know I can be that guy to come in and be a Day 1 starter and impact this program. And I can bring some guys with me that will bring the rise of Michigan football.”
