LOOK: Michigan WR commit Semaj Morgan recruits top targets Jalen Brown, Omillio Agard on visit
West Bloomfield wide receiver Semaj Morgan, who committed to Michigan last December, joined the recruiting efforts this past weekend with 2024 four-star defensive back Omillio Agard and 2023 five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown.
Brown is the No. 3 pass catcher and No. 18 overall prospect in his class, according to the On3 consensus. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has LSU and Miami leading the race for this Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep product, of course as Morgan looks to somehow play a role in Michigan changing that.
On the other hand, Agard is among the top talents coming out of Pennsylvania next cycle — with the RPM only ranking his home-state Nittany Lions ahead of Michigan. The On3 consensus has him slated as the No. 20 corner back and No. 154 overall prospect in 2024.
Morgan clearly understands his role as one of the key pieces in this Michigan class, and these pictures provided by TheWolverine.com’s EJ Holland show just that.
Michigan RB Donovan Edwards discusses former teammate Semaj Morgan
Edwards: “I’m excited to play with Semaj again. I feel like his class and the 2022 class are going to impact Michigan in a positive way. A player like Semaj is someone you build camaraderie around. We’ve played together for a long time. I think I was in second grade, and he was in kindergarten, and we played all the way up to high school.
“That’s like my brother. I call his father Coach Semaj. He’s like an uncle to me. That’s like family.”

On Morgan’s game: “[Semaj] is versatile. He’s a dog. He has that dog mentality. He’s going to give you everything he has. He never lets up. He’s not going to take no for an answer. He doesn’t let anyone persuade him away from what he’s trying to do and accomplish. That’s what Michigan fans should look forward to. He’s a really exciting player.”
