Top 100 2026 Cocoa (Fla.) High quarterback Brady Hart has committed to Michigan following a multi-day unofficial visit.

Michigan made Hart its top priority at the quarterback position next cycle and pressed while he was on campus. Hart felt at home and pulled the trigger shortly after leaving Ann Arbor.

“It exceeded my expectations,” Hart said. “It’s an amazing place. It was spectacular. I enjoyed spending time with Coach (Kirk) Campbell and Coach (Sherrone) Moore. The biggest thing was listening to their philosophy on how things are going to move forward without Coach (Jim) Harbaugh there. I don’t think the program is going to skip a beat. Michigan has been winning. They won a national championship last year. That’s what Michigan does. They’ve won forever, and they are going to keep winning.”

Hart picked Michigan over offers from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M and others.

Michigan quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell led the way in Hart’s recruitment and made a strong impression during his stay in Ann Arbor.

“We talked a lot about offense and scheme and how I fit the program,” Hart said. “I really enjoyed spending time with Coach Campbell. I like the way he’s confident. He’s just a confident guy. You want the guy calling plays for you to be a confident, chilled out guy. He knows a ton about the game. He’s confident in what he can do and how he develops the guys each week to go into big-time games and win.”

An athletic pocket passer, Hart threw for 3,759 yards and 41 touchdowns en route to leading Cocoa to a Florida state championship as a sophomore.

Hart could be an early career starter at Michigan and enjoyed breaking down the offensive scheme with Campbell.

“I loved learning about the offense,” Hart said. “The offense translates to the NFL. It’s a sweet offense.”

Hart is the first commit in Michigan’s 2026 recruiting class. He is the highest ranked quarterback prospect Michigan has landed since JJ McCarthy, who led U-M to a national title and was a Top 10 pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

At 6-foot-5, 185 pounds, Hart is ranked as the No. 9 quarterback and No. 92 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 15 overall recruit in the state of Florida for next cycle.
