All four major recruiting services made their final class of 2025 rankings updates over the past few weeks, with On3 rounding out that group Thursday. Michigan’s 2025 class remains solidified in the Top 10, checking it at No. 9.

Coming into today, the Wolverines class ranked No. 9 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 3 in the Big 10 with a class score of 92.04. After the On3 update, the class score climbed to 92.39, a 1.11 increase from the 2024 cycle, but all team rankings remained the same.

Oregon and Ohio State are the only Big 10 programs to finish ahead of the Wolverines in this recruiting cycle. This is Michigan’s highest-ranked recruiting class since 2022, and it could climb even higher in the rankings before the Feb. 5 signing day. The Wolverines signed multiple On3 Industry five-star prospects for the first time since Dax Hill and Chris Hinton joined the program in the 2019 cycle.

Five-Star+ quarterback Bryce Underwood headlines the 2025 class after maintaning his spot as the No. 1 recruit in the country in this rankings update. He was the first recruit to ever receive a “100” player rating from On3.

Wolverine offensive tackle Andrew Babalola checked in close behind him, comfortably in five-star territory at No. 14 nationally.

“Man, he can be a first-round draft pick,” Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore said when discussing Babalola during his signing day press conference. “He’s got all the skills because he’s got the size. He’s probably 285 right now, which is good. You don’t want him too big. He could easily be 310 like that. But he’s got great ankle flexibility, great hip flexibility.

“He’s strong. But always with a lineman, you never really know until they get here. But he’s got the ability to do it. He can be as good as any guy that’s played here. He’s got that ability. He’s that smart. He loves the game that much. He’s an awesome fit. He’s a great player. But he’s an outstanding kid. So, yeah, high ceiling.”

The Wolverines signed a total of seven Top 100 recruits in the final On300— Underwood (No. 1), Babalola (No. 14), Nate Marshall (No. 39), Kainoa Winston (No. 44), Jacob Washington (No. 92), Jordan Young (No. 93) and Benny Patterson (No. 96).

Michigan holds 23 prep commitments in the 2025 class so far and continues to await the decision of four-star offensive lineman Ty Haywood, who checked in at No. 76 in Thursday’s rankings.
