Michigan basketball signees and pledges continue to play well, led by class of 2024 point guard Christian Anderson Jr. Anderson recently put up 46 points on 8 (!) triples, adding 5 assists in a win over Stockbridge. The Atlanta Lovett star is reportedly close to 6-feet tall now — he was 5-8 when he committed — and is putting up huge numbers.
Anderson continues to work on all facets of his game, and he’s now dunking easily.
Anderson scored 31 points in a win over Luella Feb. 1 after putting up 18 in a Jan. 28 victory over Woodland.
Michigan signee George Washington II visits
Shooting guard signee George Washington II, meanwhile, visited Michigan for the win over Ohio State last weekend.
He continues to put up big numbers. He led his team to a conference championship Feb. 4 with 32 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, including a game winning triple.

He told BVMSports.com Michigan was exactly what he was looking for in a school.
“A lot went into it,” Washington III said of his pledge. “The environment at Michigan is a family. Those guys all care about each other. The coaches all care about the guys. It feels like everyone is there to see each other win.
“Being able to see everything I’ve worked for, everything my parents have poured into, all the workouts with my sister where she kicked my butt all paid off,” Washington III said. “Now I’m in a situation where I can be like, ‘Okay, that part is taken care of.’”
Finally, in Connecticut, Papa Kante continues to put up big numbers, too. The 6-10, 4-star power forward scored 19 points in a 77-72 win over Vermont Academy Feb. 8, improving his South Kent School’s record to 24-3. He notched 11 in a win over a Latin America team Feb. 5, had 13 in a victory over Perkiomen School (79-75) Feb. 1, and 19 in a 77-71 win over Bradford Christian Jan. 29.
Kante, now On3.com’s No. 54 player nationally, added 15 in an 87-79 win over Newman School Jan. 28.
