Michigan Wolverines head basketball coach Juwan Howard was on hand to watch his son, 2022 Michigan signee Jett Howard and his Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy team at GEICO Nationals — a premiere national prep season-ending tournament. Howard was ranked as the No. 34 overall player, No. 11 small forward and No. 8 player in Florida in his class according to On3.
Howard’s IMG Academy team beat La Lumiere by a final score of 76-51. Howard — who’s playing alongside some other top talent — had a quiet game, scoring four points on 1 of 4 shooting from the field. He added seven rebounds and two assists, though, affecting the game in other ways, in 25 minutes of the victory.
Howard isn’t the only Michigan signee in action down in Tampa this weekend. Four-star Michigan forward signee Tarris Reed Jr. and St. Louis (Mo.) Link Year Prep also won Thursday, beating Oak Hill Academy by a final score of 81-67. Reed was also not a huge factor offensively, posting two points on 1-of-5 shooting from the field, but he added six rebounds in 18 minutes of action. His one made shot was a thunderous dunk.
Michigan Wolverines football is just one day away from hosting its first spring game in front of a full-capacity crowd since 2019. The Maize and Blue practiced Thursaday, one last time before the scrimmage, as the competition between the maize vs. the blue heats up. The winners will eat steak dinner, while the losers will have to settle for hot dogs, just like the good ‘ole days.

Quote Of The Day
“Nyckoles Harbor is one of the most impressive kids I’ve ever met in my time covering recruiting. And I’m not just talking about him as a football player. Harbor is well-spoken, thoughtful, intelligent, maintains a perfect GPA and is the son of a pharmacist and NASA employee. He has goals to be a neurosurgeon after his athletic career is over and spends time in the hospital with his mother to gain more insight on the field. Athletically, Harbor is an absolute freak. He is a legit 6-foot-5 1/2, 225 pounds and runs a blazing 10.31 100m. Harbor can literally play anything from wide receiver to tight end to EDGE to linebacker to safety at the next level. The five-star prospect can be a difference maker wherever he lines up.”
