The Wolverines have taken point guards the last two years in Frankie Collins and incoming frosh Dug McDaniel and have a 2024 pledge from another in Christian Anderson. That didn’t stop Michigan coach Howard from offering another in 2023 Aden Holloway from LaPorte (Ind.) La Lumiere School.
A four-star prospect ranked No. 49 nationally by On3.com, the 6-0 standout is a shooter and much more. He made 10 triples in his first game at the CP3 Memorial Day Classic and patterns himself after NBA standout Chris Paul.
Texas A&M, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Auburn are among his offers in addition to Michigan. He enjoyed a great visit to Auburn for a game this year.
“It really is just getting started,” Holloway told the South Bend Tribune in January. “I am nowhere near picking a college yet … nowhere near a final decision. I am still waiting on some schools, but right now, just keeping in touch with coaches at Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Cincinnati.”

And several others. Auburn wowed him two months ago when he visited for a game against Alabama.
“Auburn definitely is a top, top school for me,” Holloway said.
But he’s in no hurry to make a decision. Michigan will need to get him on campus to have a shot, but it’s possible.
“I just want to pick a school that allows me to come in and be me, and give me freedom to do what I do,” the Michigan target said. “I am not forcing anything. Just looking for that school to give me freedom, the ability to make mistakes, play through my mistakes and get better.”
