More On This Michigan Basketball Podcast
• Three Michigan basketball players have NBA Draft decisions to make, and they have until April 24 to do so. Sophomore center Hunter Dickinson, freshman forward Moussa Diabate and freshman wing Caleb Houstan could all at least test the NBA waters, and many expect them to do so. Dickinson went through the process last season but ultimately chose to come back for ‘one more year.’ He could always reverse course and come back, with the big man actually having three more years of eligibility. Players being able to make money during college has made these decisions complicated as well, and we discuss that and everything surrounding the upcoming choices each guy will make.
• We break down the Michigan backcourt, since it’s in an interesting spot heading into the 2022-23 campaign. The Wolverines have just three guards on the roster, with some others who have the potential to play in the back court but are not natural fits. There’s the potential for Michigan to add a backcourt player through the portal, which we discuss, but we also break down the guys on the roster and how they project for next season.
• Michigan’s roster is technically full going into next season, as it stands today, with the Wolverines being at the scholarship limit of 13. However, it’s likely through either the NBA Draft or the transfer portal that the Maize and Blue will have room to add a player through the portal. We talk about Texas Tech transfer Terrence Shannon and others.
