Michigan Boasts Top 10 2023 Recruiting Class

Michigan has moved up in the 2023 On3 Consensus national team recruiting rankings after landing four-star Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln linebacker Raylen Wilson on Wednesday.
Wilson committed to Michigan over fellow finalist Georgia. He also held offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC and others.
Michigan linebackers coach George Helow, a Jacksonville native, led the way in Wilson’s recruitment and sealed the deal early. Wilson made an unofficial visit this fall and loved his time on campus.
With Wilson in the fold, Michigan jumped from No. 9 to No. 6 overall, moving past Arkansas, Florida and Penn State. The Wolverines now have a total score of 91.575, placing them just behind No. 5 Texas A&M, which has a score of 91.804.

With Michigan having stability and plenty of success on the field, the Wolverines are poised to add more top tier talent to its 2023 recruiting class. U-M will have a big opportunity to do just that later this month.
On300 offensive lineman Dylan Senda is set to decide on Dec. 20, and Michigan is considered the leader in his recruitment. Adding Senda would give Michigan a trio of On300 commitments before the turn of the calendar year.
The fourth member of Michigan’s 2022 recruiting class, Wilson joins On300 defensive lineman Joel Starlings, in-state wide receiver Semaj Morgan and in-state kicker Adam Samaha. All committed to Michigan over the last three weeks.
