Michigan center Hunter Dickinson continues to explore his transfer portal possibilities. The senior-to-be has set up two visits — Georgetown and Maryland — after having Zoom calls with Kentucky and Kansas.

He’ll also Zoom with Syracuse today per the Roundball podcast, on which he posted “IDK where I’m going” on his video feed.
“Because I’ve been so quiet about everything, everybody is trying to figure out anything,” Dickinson said. “Any type of bit they can get. But I really don’t want to publicize my recruitment and stuff too much. I’d rather keep it on the down low.”
He plans to give the scoop to Marty Mush and Jordan Bohannon on the podcast, he added, noting he’ll visit Maryland and Georgetown this weekend.
“I wanted to go home anyways just to be home for a weekend … I might as well go and take the unofficials while I’m going to be home anyways,” Dickinson said. “That’s how that happened.”
Dickinson has been a huge part of Michigan’s success the last three years, averaging 17.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. He’s shot 57 percent from the floor and 36 percent from three point range.
Dickinson averaged 18.5 points, a career high 9.0 rebounds, and career high 1.8 blocks per game this year while shooting 56.0% overall and a career high 42.1% from beyond the arc. Michigan fell short of the NCAA Tournament, however, and lost in the second round of the NIT.

He’s now listening to coaches from several programs in addition to Georgetown (now coached by Ed Cooley) and Maryland.
“I had a really close relationship with Cooley when he was at Providence. I just didn’t feel like Providence was a big enough brand for me to get where I wanted to go … but I really liked him and the staff,” Dickinson said.
“… Coming home, obviously both schools are hometown schools for me, but I live like 20 minutes away from Georgetown. Maryland … a lot of people get this misconstrued. All my comments from Maryland were towards one individual person … it wan’t like the university as a whole. And they hired [former Dickinson coach at Hyattsville DeMatha] Mike Jones. Everybody knows Mike Jones.”
Regardless, Dickinson insists he doesn’t know where he’s going … and he still has time to figure it out. And, of course, a return to Michigan is also possible should U-M present him with an even better NIL package and continue its recent success in the portal to put a great team around him.
We’ll continue to monitor this until he makes his decision.
