Michigan checks out recruits at Pacific Northwest satellite camp

The Wolverine spoke to Seattle-based recruiting figurehead Marcus Griffin, who was one of the organizers for the AveryStrong Showcase this past weekend, held at the University of Puget Sound. Attending the prominent Pacific Northwest summer event was Michigan tight ends coach Grant Newsome, who has established strong connections in the region. Some key U-M targets competed in the camp, including those from Ford Sports Performance, a year-round training organization that’s produced 2024 Bellevue (Wash.) High four-star tight end commit Hogan Hansen. Proceeds from the showcase went to the Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation, a non-profit that raises awareness to Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas (DIPGs), a fatal form of brain tumor.
