On3 released its updated On300 rankings for the 2023 recruiting class on Monday afternoon, and several Michigan commits made big jumps.

Colleyville (Texas) Covenant product Enow Etta is Michigan’s highest rated commit and moved up 20 spots from No. 132 to No. 112. Etta is now ranked as the No. 17 defensive lineman nationally, but it should be noted that the Wolverines expect him to play EDGE at the next level.

Etta committed to Michigan last week over offers from Alabama, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Stanford, Tennessee, USC and others.

Dexter (Mich.) High running back Cole Cabana made the biggest jump out of any Michigan commit, going from a three-star prospect to the No. 256 overall prospect nationally. Cabana is now a four-star recruit across all four major rankings services.

Cabana picked Michigan over rival Michigan State in February and has remained completely solid throughout the process.

Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Charter linebacker Semaj Bridgeman also moved up from three-star status to the No. 262 overall prospect nationally. Like Cabana, Bridgeman is now a four-star recruit across all major rankings services.

Bridgeman notched several major offers early on in his recruitment before picking Michigan over Big Ten bunkmate Rutgers earlier this month. Bridgeman is the lone linebacker commit for Michigan this recruiting cycle.

Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) High EDGE Collins Acheampong impressed at the Future 50 event in Florida over the weekend and surged up the rankings, going from three-star prospect to the No. 263 overall prospect nationally.

A native of Ghana, Acheampong played one year of football at Anaheim (Calif.) Fairmont Prep before the school shut down the football program during the global pandemic. Acheampong will play his senior year at Rancho Santa Margarita in the Trinity League, which is widely regarded as the toughest high school football conference in America.

At 6-foot-8, 254 pounds Acheampong has some of the biggest upside regardless of position this cycle. He picked Michigan earlier this month over fellow finalist Miami.

While they were not included in the On300 rankings, two Michigan commits did receive star ratings. Ann Arbor (Mich.) Huron kicker Adam Samaha and international EDGE Aymeric Koumba are now three-star prospects.

Michigan holds 12 commitments total. Along with the aforementioned six prospects, the Wolverines have secured verbal pledges from Consensus four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring, On3 four-star tight end Deakon Tonielli, three-star defensive lineman Brooks Bahr, three-star wide receiver Semaj Morgan, three-star wide receiver Fredrick Moore and three-star running back Benjamin Hall.

Michigan’s 2023 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 24 nationally and No. 5 in the Big Ten.
