Michigan commits rise, fall in latest On3 recruiting rankings update

Michigan defensive back commit Brody Jennings was one of the biggest risers in February’s On300 rankings update for the 2026 recruiting class.
Jennings once again moved up in Monday’s release, rising two spots from the No. 132 to the No. 130 overall prospect nationally. Jennings, who is U-M’s highest rated commit, is also ranked as the No. 19 cornerback in the country.
Jennings’ rankings bump comes after a strong junior season at Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin. Jennings transferred to the Florida powerhouse last offseason and proved to be one of the top defensive players in the Sunshine State.
At 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Jennings is a tall, rangy corner with plenty of upside. Jennings saw his recruiting stock blow up earlier this offseason as schools like Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss all put offers on the table.
Jennings has been committed to Michigan since last summer. He made an unofficial visit earlier this month and will return for his official visit on June 20.
“I’m taking it all in,” Jennings said. “I’m building relationships with other coaches, but my strongest relationships are still with Coach (Sherrone) Moore and Coach (LaMar) Morgan. I’m going to play at a high level, and if others want to offer me, I’m grateful. But I’m locked in with Michigan. I’m 100 percent Michigan.”
With that said, Jennings also has official visits set with Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia.
Jennings is one of three commits in Michigan’s 2026 recruiting class. The other two are Cartersville (Ga.) Cass offensive lineman Bear McWhorter and Dallas (Texas) Parish Episcopal wide receiver Jaylen Pile. Both remained three-star prospects in this update.

McWhorter stayed the same in the interior offensive line position rankings. He is ranked as the No. 43 interior offensive lineman nationally.
McWhorter, who is Michigan’s most recent commit, sided with the Wolverines in late February over childhood favorite Alabama. He is projected to play guard or center at U-M.
Pile dropped in the wide receiver position rankings. He was previously the No. 129 wide receiver nationally and is now the No. 145 wide receiver nationally, dropping 16 spots.
Both McWhorter and Pile are solid and will be back at Michigan for their official visits on June 20.
Michigan currently has the No. 41 ranked 2026 recruiting class nationally, per the On3 Industry team rankings. The Wolverines are ranked No. 12 in the Big Ten. USC has the top class in the conference.
