After two back-to-back visits to Ann Arbor on consecutive weekends in the month of December, former Nebraska linebacker pledge Hayden Moore has committed to Michigan on Monday, becoming the third true linebacker commit to join the Wolverines in the 2023 class.

Moore, who had been formally committed to the Cornhuskers since June, decommitted from the Big Ten rival and would go public with his flip just after he made an official visit to campus this past weekend. The thumper out of Aurora (Co.) Regis Jesuit made his debut on campus on December 10th unofficially.

“That was part of the reason why we scheduled the unofficial for that time. That way I’ll get to have more time to talk and meet with the coaches. I know Michigan has the biggest weight room and stadium in the country, but coaching wise, talking to everyone like coach (Jim) Harbaugh was amazing. It was just cool to see the program for how it is in person,” Moore said.

Originally, Moore was expected to take an official visit to Texas A&M last weekend but told The Wolverine that he cancelled the trip to College Station in order to get a more in-depth look at the Big Ten Champions.

Moore chose Michigan over notable offers from Colorado, Iowa, UCLA, Iowa State, Texas Tech, and Kanas State. He would announce his commitment on Twitter.

At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Moore is ranked as the No. 113 linebacker and No. 1,249 overall prospect in the country. He is also ranked as the No. 8 overall recruit in the state of Colorado, per the On3 Consensus.

“I got to meet coach Herb (Ben Herbert), who was awesome. His presentation for us was really good. We also got to meet coach Harbaugh in person too which was great. The visit, overall, went really well. I don’t have anything bad to say about the experience,” Moore said.

Moore has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.3K with 1.7K followers across all platforms. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
