Michigan football faces its first road test of the season when it goes to Kinnick Stadium to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game is a rematch of last season’s Big Ten Championship game, a 42-3 win for the Wolverines.

Despite that, the challenges of going to Iowa City are well-documented to this point. The Hawkeyes are 5-1 against top-5 teams in their last 6 tries. Michigan was among the teams that have fallen victim to this after a 14-13 walk-off Iowa win in 2016.

Michigan escaped a scare from Maryland last week 34-27 to stay undefeated and get off to a hot start in Big Ten play. Sophomore quarterback J.J. McCarthy was able to get his feet wet against conference competition, though was a bit loose with the football. Iowa will look to make things difficult for him as a team that capitalizes on mistakes.

Iowa went to Rutgers and earned a 27-10 victory last weekend. 14 of those points came courtesy of the Hawkeyes defense. Michigan will try to avoid a similar fate and make a statement in a tough Big Ten West environment.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast via FOX with Gus Johnson on play-by-play, Joel Klatt on color commentary and Jenny Taft working the sideline. The game will also be streaming on FOX Now and providers that carry FOX, such as YouTube TV, Hulu, DirecTV Stream and others. Doug Karsch and Jon Jansen will have the radio call with Jack Miller and Jason Avant on the sidelines on 950 AM in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area.
