WATCH: Blake Corum speaks from Rose Bowl media day
The Michigan Wolverines‘ entire operation made an appearance at the Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday morning for a media day event previewing the game with Alabama. Among the players that had podium sessions was captain and running back Blake Corum, who has been a key part of establishing a tone during game prep.
Michigan backed off its typical physical practice regimen over the last few weeks to keep themselves fresh for Alabama and get their bodies right. After a few days spent in Los Angeles, Corum said that the new approach has paid off.
“The vibe and the tone have been at a high level,” Corum told The Wolverine. “Our execution has been at a high level. We’re just out there having fun, enjoying the palm trees, just taking it all in, trying to remain calm.
“But it’s been great. We’re having a blast here in California at the Rose Bowl, so it’s been wonderful. One day we had kind of a walkthrough-type practice, and then we had a good full padded practice Tuesday with upper shells on Thursday.
“It’s been good. Sticking to the game plan that Coach Harbaugh is putting forth. And it’s been great. Our bodies feel good and we feel fresh. But we also have been putting in work I like the way we went about it this go around and I think we’ll all be ready for Monday.”
