Newsstand: Derrick Moore, TJ Guy planning returns in 2025
The Michigan Wolverines are still in the process of figuring out what their roster will look like during the 2025 season, but it appears the pass rush is going to get a pair of key pieces back. Both Derrick Moore and TJ Guy said on Saturday that they are currently planning to return for their final seasons of eligibility.
The two combined for 7.5 sacks this season along with 52 pressures.
The two revealed their decisions at Saturday’s Champions Circle Toy Drive at Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan. Junior cornerback Will Johnson, who declared for the NFL Draft earlier this week hosted the event.
“I just want to help turn this program back to what it was,” Moore said, via MLive. “We didn’t have the season we wanted to have, but I felt like we finished out strong. We won the trophy games and the games that matter, but I want to win one more national (title), one more Big Ten championship game.

“I want to leave Michigan the right way.”
He would later say: “I made a promise to coach [Sherrone] Moore and my inner-self, just coming back to help Michigan get back to where it needs to be. Some of the older guys are going to come back and help with that. I feel like we’re in a good spot right now, and I have trust in coach Moore going to get more guys.”
