John Borton and Tom Crawford took to The Wolverine YouTube channel on Tuesday evening to discuss some of the top Michigan storylines currently going. This time of year, pundits are busy putting together their predictions and prognostications, and the result of The Game vs. Ohio State is always up for grabs.

Borton and Crawford had a chat about whether the Buckeyes have enough defensively to hold up with Michigan this season:

John Borton: “When you look at Michigan football this year and you look at Ohio State, it’s hard not to take a glance ahead to that game. Somebody pointed out on our board that the Buckeyes, probably 80% of their recruits that have committed are on the offensive side of the ball. And it really, it really feels like they overemphasize the offensive side as opposed to the defense at this point, are the Buckeyes gonna be able to have enough defensively to slow Michigan down? They certainly did for a half last year, but it, it did not hold.”

Tom Crawford: “It takes me back to big and media days where that guy Ryan Day was getting drilled by his Bucknuts, all those Ohio State media guys asking about this Jim Knowles dude who’s coming from Oklahoma State and that he’s the savior on the defense. Jim knows defense, and so they’re asking all these questions, it’s almost like interrogation. Because it’s not like Oklahoma State and the Big 12. It was like Swiss cheese and they were given cover zero and all of a sudden Michigan was getting big plays.”

Borton and Crawford discuss that and more in this week’s edition of their Tuesday night live show. Watch or listen to this week’s episode below. Other topics include:
