Michigan football has had five more kickoff times made official after a TV designation announcement on Wednesday afternoon. Chief among them is the first-ever streaming-only game for Michigan in the new TV contract with NBC in the form of the season opener against East Carolina. The game will kick off at 12 p.m. ET on the Peacock app.

The Wolverines will play their first CBS game in Week 2 with a 3:30 p.m. kick against UNLV at home before hosting a night game in Week 3 against Bowling Green in the non-conference finale on Sept. 16. That game will be televised via Big Ten Network.

The Big Ten opener against Rutgers at home will kick off at noon with a TV assignment to come at a later date. The rest of the slate includes Fox’s Big Noon Saturday games at Penn State (Nov. 11) and at home against Ohio State (Nov. 25), both of which were previously reported. The Big Ten Championship game remains in Indianapolis in 2023 and will kick at 8 p.m., also on Fox.

With new TV partners this season in NBC and CBS, along with FOX, more options are on the table than ever as it pertains to marquee games. Each network drafts games each week with a different entity having the first pick. This is the last year that the SEC will have games televised on CBS, so the 3:30 p.m. slot may not always feature a Big Ten game. CBS moves in full to the Big Ten in 2024 with the SEC heading over to ESPN’s family of networks full-time.
