Running back Blake Corum fumbled on the next possession, giving the Bulldogs the ball at their 44-yard line.

Michigan would get the football back with 4:40 to go and would score two plays later. McCarthy ripped a 42-yard touchdown pass to freshman wide receiver Andrel Anthony, followed by a two-point conversion on a wildcat handoff from Corum to AJ Henning. The deficit was narrowed to 34-11 with 4:25 to go.

And that was it.
