Wolverine TV: Jim Harbaugh's full session at Big Ten Football Media Days
Michigan football’s turn to speak to the assembled scribes, broadcasters and pundits was Thursday at Big Ten Football Media Days in Indianapolis, headlined by two appearances from head coach Jim Harbaugh.
The Michigan headman, who has been in the news this week for a potential four-game suspension from the NCAA over recruiting violations, closed out the televised portion of the coach sessions on Thursday before having a separate breakout session later in the afternoon.
While Harbaugh was unable to give any background on the NCAA saga given that it is a pending legal matter, plenty of ground was covered regarding position battles on the offensive and defensive lines, the state of the Michigan State rivalry and more. He also officially confirmed an Aug. 2 start date for the 2023 edition of fall camp.

Harbaugh was joined on Thursday by senior running back Blake Corum, senior defensive tackle Kris Jenkins and graduate defensive back Mike Sainristil as player representatives. The Wolverines typically bring senior and graduate-level players with them to media days, so it was an easy choice for Harbaugh.
“They are walking, talking infomercials of what a football player should be … a Michigan football player, what we think,” Harbaugh said on Thursday. “They’re great. Now, there’s none better than those three, for sure, and we have probably 30-some right there with them still back in Ann Arbor. I can promise you that all the guys back in Ann Arbor are proud of those three that are here today.
