In a statement, the Leach family said: “Mike was a giving and attentive husband, father and grandfather. He was able to participate in organ donation at UMMC as a final act of charity. We are supported and uplifted by the outpouring of love and prayers from family, friends, Mississippi State University, the hospital staff, and football fans around the world. Thank you for sharing in the joy of our beloved husband and father’s life.”
Michigan shared its condolences with the Mississippi State community and Leach family.
Michigan Wolverines football now has two consensus All-Americans for the 2022 season, with graduate center Olusegun Oluwatimi joining junior running back Blake Corum. Oluwatimi was selected to the first team by the Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and Sporting News. He was named second team by the Associated Press.
The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) will release its teams Dec. 14. Corum would become a unanimous All-American if he lands on the AFCA first team, after earning the honor from the other four major selectors.
Here are 2022 season highlights for Michigan freshman cornerback Will Johnson.
Quote Of The Day
“I know I’m a hard worker and I know that I’ll be set up with all of the instruments and resources that Michigan provides if I do my part. That includes staying the classroom and weight room, listening to the coaches, and always being on time. I took a chance on going to a big time place like that but I’ll enjoy every part of it and have fun, no matter what.”
