Wolverine TV: Jim Harbaugh talks Michigan culture, Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards, cornerback, more
DETROIT — Michigan Wolverines football head coach Jim Harbaugh spoke with a group of reporters at the the Sound Mind Sound Body National College Showcase Thursday afternoon at Wayne State. Harbaugh discussed his running backs, how the offense will split up touches, the team culture and offseason, cornerback battle and more.
The Michigan offseason has been extremely positive, Harbaugh discussed, as the team prepares for fall camp, which is scheduled for August 1.
“Really good, just really looking forward to this month of June,” Harbaugh said. “Things really get cranked up. It’s, uh, almost really the start of the start of the year. Now we’ve got all of our rfeshmen in, they’ve reported, so we’ll be hitting hard camps and workouts and official visitors. “Supposed to be the three main ones. That’ll keep us pretty busy, so fired up to knock it out of the park in the month of June.”
The Michigan freshman and summer transfer portal enrollees arrived to campus Tuesday evening. Harbaugh said it’s one of his favorite times of the year. The other players began trickling back to campus over the last week or so.
“Some took three weeks, but a lot came back and have been working out and getting a head start, a jumpstart on the summer cycle,” Harbaugh said.
