Wolverine TV: J.J. McCarthy addresses deep ball concerns, more
Michigan football sophomore quarterback J.J. McCarthy met with the media on Tuesday night in Ann Arbor ahead of Saturday’s game against Nebraska. Among the topics covered was the continued work he is trying to put in to get his deep balls right.
Michigan missed a few long passes in the 52-17 win over Rutgers that could have busted the game wide open much earlier. McCarthy knows that, and the work is happening behind the scenes to make darn sure it does not happen again.
“It’s just constant reps,” McCarthy said on Tuesday. “We worked so hard on it today at practice. It’s going to click. We are on an upward trend with all of that stuff and it’s going to happen. I can promise you that.”
