Wolverine TV: Michigan football players address potential Jim Harbaugh suspension, more at Big Ten Media Days
Michigan football took its turn at Big Ten Football Media Days in Indianapolis on Thursday afternoon, represented by head coach Jim Harbaugh, senior running back Blake Corum, senior defensive lineman Kris Jenkins and graduate defensive back Mike Sainristil.
Each player had his fair share of storylines and questions to answer, but a throughline during the afternoon was the potential suspension of Harbaugh to start the season.
The Wolverine staff has extended video of each player session with the media, which can be viewed below.
Senior running back Blake Corum
“I don’t know too much about the situation, but as a leader, just rallying my guys. If anything, it’s going to make us go even harder. Maybe a little motivation, light a fire under us. I’m gonna rally my troops, get them going, and we’re going to do this for Coach Harbaugh if that is the case. But I don’t really know what’s going on too much. Really just bring my guys together and do what we do — play ball, leave it all on the field and get the job done.”

Senior defensive lineman Kris Jenkins
“We want to perfect what we couldn’t perfect last year. Obviously, we cannot be complacent and think that our success from last year is going to carry over into this year. The biggest thing is that we need to do more to become a better football team every single day. Every day. Every 24 hours.”

“We just focus on preparing in the weight room, getting ready for camp next week. We know Coach Harbaugh is going to be there at camp coaching. Whether he’s there for those first four games or not, I know that he would want us to do is go out there and play a great brand of football and lead on for the block M. Just go out there and play our brand of football, Michigan football, play fast, play hard, play physical. Do what it is that he prepares us to do. Whether he’s with those four games or not, we’re going to play as if he was right there coaching us.”
